FYI here's my output from the excellent USB Device Tree Viewer.
It seems the main difference between ours is that the device enumerates on a USB 3.0 port on my system where it for some reason is connected/enumerated to a USB2.0 port on your Intel 3400 USB2.0 chipset (it ought to be connected to the NEC USB 3.0 controller). One thing to try, manually uninstall the USB3.0 host controller drivers by right clicking in the Device Manager list and make sure to check the "delete drivers from computer". Then reboot and install the drivers downloaded from the manufacturer site. It seems Windows sometimes installs default so-so drivers for USB 3.0 controllers.

Ok, we're tested several PCI add-on cards, all but one worked well. I will put up a list of tested configs soon.

I personally use the Asus U3S6 for my home PC as it is based on an Intel Core i7 920 from 2009 without USB3.0 ports, the SATA 6Gb is also a welcome addition.

We're also releasing a new version of the server with diagnostic capabilities soon.
Statistics: Posted by skataMartin — 15 Jan 2014, 18:46

I also have an ASUS mb (M4A87TD/USB3). I updated the drivers from the ASUS site, and the tracker started working. The USB 3.0 ports have blue sockets, and face the back of the case. FYI.
Statistics: Posted by skataamsabuncu — 14 Jan 2014, 12:31

Hi Maurice,

Just checked the specs for the P7P55D-E. It seems it's equipped with a USB 3.0 controller from NEC. Maybe you got the wrong drivers?

The NEC drivers version 1.0.19.0, and a firmware updater, is available from the ASUS P7P55DE download section.
Statistics: Posted by skataMartin — 14 Jan 2014, 00:50

Did you try removing all the drivers and re-installing it. It might solve the problem.
Statistics: Posted by skatanils.21 — 13 Jan 2014, 16:53
