Hi. I bring in this thread an access link to my doctoral thesis. It's entitled "Contribution to the aeronautical charts graphic expression". In second part of the thesis, the stereotypical trends of aeronautical charts symbolization were achieved and led into a set of stereotyped models of cartographic representation. Communicational skills calculated with eye-tracking (using EyeTribe and OGAMA software) were later cross-checked with the measures taken from an interpretation experiment involving military pilots and geo-information experts.

The obtained results confirm the feasibility to achieve a basic prediction of the capability of early attention to graphical objects in the aeronautical chart. Thus, the reader´s visual attention can be addressed through the main elements and symbols of the chart. In addition, the adaptation of relational contrast and the combination of visual variable may enhance the efficiency of visual pathways, together with the optimization of the ocular focus. As a matter of fact, it is reduced the time needed to the read the information from the aeronautical charts.

You may view and download the full text at this link: http://oa.upm.es/39198/ Original text is written in Spanish, my apologies. I hope that my text can be useful in our future research. We are looking for a developer that can build a video tracking solution for us.
We want to test and track videos using Eye Tribe hardware to create a "dynamic tracer" on-top of an existing video.

User flow:
1. User selects source .mp4 file from a folder
2. User provides naming text (simple text field)
3. Software plays source video (on computer screen) while tracking eye movement in real time
4. Software compiles "eye-movement indicator graphic" and source video to illustrate where the user/test person was looking during playback(incl. Intro text "burn-in" first 4 sec.
5. User saves "merged video file" to select destination as mp4/h264 file.

We will provide GUI design and functionality description and the software should run on MAC (preferably).

Email: sbp33mail@gmail.com for questons, budget, availability etc.

Ps. Eye-tracking analysis is a powerful technique in usability studies of websites. However, it can be difficult to extract a real gaze position on scrollable webpages, because only a part of page is often visible for a participant each moment of time.

Recently, we added support for scrollable live web pages in our tool, EventIDE (http://www.okazolab.com). Our implementation of eye-tracking analysis records scanpaths and heatmaps, which automatically take in account the entire extends of any presented webpage. The analysis can be performed in real-time, while a participant is doing natural unconstrained web-browsing with scrolling, typing, navigation etc.

We published a small demo of this technique on our youtube channel:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0ltX7C-6fN0

The demo was recorded with Eye Tribe tracker. If you are interested in web usability, we invite you to try out our tool.

With regards,
Maria
Statistics: Posted by skatam.molodova@okazolab.com — 21 Jan 2016, 22:40

Hi,

My project group have made an instruction video on how to use The Eye Tribe & Ogama to track eye movements in a flash video.
The video is in danish, but hopefully english speaking users will be able to extract the needed information as well. Below the video is a list of the software needed to make it work.

The video has been uploaded to youtube and can be found here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yL9t-bPGalE

We hope that you will find it useful.

Best regards, Tobias
Statistics: Posted by skatathoj10 — 19 Nov 2015, 11:54
