VMware workstation player v12.1.0 works. I now have the server (internal build) running on Ubuntu 15.10 64-bit hosted from Windows 10 64-bit. Chances are it will work the opposite direction too (Ubuntu->Windows). Please note that the USB3.0 has to be enabled in the VMware settings.

Hope we can get around to ship the native Linux version soon..
Statistics: Posted by skataMartin — 21 Jan 2016, 15:39

Just tried the reverse, running Ubuntu through VirtualBox on Windows 10 64bit with no success. Unable to mount the device, claims it's busy. Found many similar reports online, attempted a few "solutions" but none worked.

Will try VMware workstation player v12.1.0 next.
Statistics: Posted by skataMartin — 21 Jan 2016, 14:44

Not sure about Virual Box, I know that they now support USB3 so if it can mount the device correctly it might work. Some time ago there was success with Parallels on OSX (before we shipped native Mac release).

You should see a device called TheEyeTribe in the Device Manager under Imaging Devices and it should have VID (vendor ID) 29AB and PID (Product id) 00FB.

What's the host OS you are on?
Statistics: Posted by skataMartin — 18 Jan 2016, 11:10

I am running WIndows 10 in Virtual Box. Whenever I try to use my eye tracker, I get the following error message: No data is coming out of the device, direct show stream not running.

I have no idea what I'm supposed to do about this. Any help is appreciated. Thank you.
Statistics: Posted by skatapeppercorn — 17 Jan 2016, 00:59
