Wifi doesn't work when eye tracker connected to USB 3.0

Postby haidar.rausyanfikr » 03 Dec 2014, 12:28

I found something strange, every time the eye tracker plugged into my USB 3.0 port, then wifi turns off automatically, and when I unplug it, my wifi working again. Anyone have the same problem?

Hi Haidar,

Sounds weird, I'll check with support to see if there's been any similar cases.

The device and software works fine otherwise?

Wondering if this is a OS/driver power-state managing issue or if it is related to the hardware. Really difficult to diagnose on the limited info.

- What's the brand/model of the laptop?
- I assume other USB 3.0 devices does not cause the same problem, and that you have the latest drivers?

I have a similar problem, i lose my wifi connection i mean - the connection itself stays alive, but i cannot open any websites - as soon as a client connects to the running eyetribe server even if it is the EyeTribe UI. When i close the client application, everything runs smooth again. am i the only one?

edit:
i'm on win7 x64
laptop: asus V5 573G
running on an ssd
