Trying to install but get an error for the SpeechPlatformRuntime.msi:

"The installation package could not be opened. Contact the application vendor to verify that this is a valid Windows Installer package."

Running Windows 7 Ultimate N with Service Package 1 on a Core i7 920.

Tried to run it anyways. Works fine to connect with the tracker and calibrate but when I get to the first dwell selection (Yes/No) it crashes with exception

"Could not load file or assembly 'Microsoft.Speech, Version=11.0.0.0, Culture=neutral, PublicKeyToken=31bf3856ad364e35' or one of its dependencies. The located assembly's manifest definition does not match the assembly reference. (Exception from HRESULT: 0x80131040)"

Can’t seem to post in the forums

I tried registering on the forums:

Thanks for registering! To complete the activation of your account please click the following link:

http://www.gazespeaker.org/activate/?key=9a9...

It asks me to log in, and then I log in. I’m pretty sure I successfully log in. (I put in a wrong username to see if I would get a different response, and I got “ERROR: The password you entered for the username JeffKang is incorrect”. I didn’t get that the first time, so I think I got logged in.

However, in the forum section, it says “You must be logged in to create new topics.”

Thanks.

Hi, you need to login using the top bar (W - Log in - Register) at the top left. When you are logged, you should see at the top right something like "Howdy, Pierre" (this is a buddy Press login and forum).
I just did the test with a test account (test) and it works.

Forum topic “Gazespeaker functionalities” open?

Forum topics, “Announcements”, “Eye-Tracking ”, and “Troubleshooting” are open for posting. “Gazespeaker functionalities” isn’t. Is it supposed to be?

Thanks.
