TET outdoors / night

Postby fernando.ssoares » 10 Feb 2015, 17:31

Hello community,

I'm currently developping a software to use into cars, which requires facial analysis.

For people who have already tried to use the TET in environments with variable light like driving during the day , how did it go? And at night / low light environments?

Thank you
Cheers

Hi Fernando,

Low or no light is no problem since the device uses active IR illumination. Bright sunlight might cause some issues because the eyes squint so the distance between the eyelids is only a few millimeters.

Thanks for your reply.

It is a positive point that the device uses IR ilumination.
Just another fast question. Is the device reliable when using sunglasses?

Depends on the material used. I've seen some that are completely opaque to IR.
