As i am currently writing a custom calibration option in javascript, the "server only" part wouldn't affect me. would be great if i could contribute to the beta testing :)

Just checking in (it's been a good 6 months). I realize we're only a few, but we're still looking forward to Linux support. :)

Web support might be nice too (as that's the other thing I do). Some way to get eye data from JavaScript in some browser (Chrome? :D). I'm sure I'll still have native builds, but the browser seems to be the direction I'm going (to kill the Mac, Linux, Windows portability bird with one stone).

That would practically be WebSocket support. For now i have to be running a node.js TCP to Websocket Server so my Browser can communicate with the Eyetribe Server.

Same here! Don't even need calibration or a gui -- just raw access to the data stream generated by tet under linux (we do all our own calibration). Would love to try out a beta!

It's hard for me to make firm promises for Linux, people who use it do so passionately and I'd like to support you, but the OS represent a small but growing market share :?

I'll check with the team tomorrow to get a status, if it is ready it's likely that the first release will be server-only, as we currently have no Linux specific UI, and that it will be a limited beta (e.g. people who posted on this thread).

Hi Martin, another potential Linux user here! I think TET must consider Linux users as a serious market share especially for an emerging technology like eye-tracking. Eye-tracking is used a lot in research environments, where Linux is often the platform of choice.

Looking forward to hear from you.

Bests,
