Please post the server log output located in:
C:\Users\MYUSERNAME\AppData\Local\EyeTribe\Logs
Any additional information you provide is helpful. Does it crash? No data? USB3.0 drivers installed?

I found that the driver installed for Eyetribe is a generic Microsoft driver for USB video from 2006. It is the correct driver?

Our main target has been Windows 7, on desktop, laptop and tablets, and Windows 8 on Surface 1 and 2.
Windows 8.1 has yet to be verified. We will prepare a test bed for this OS update.
I hope we can resolve this fairly quickly, your log has been forward and bug-ticket created.

We've discovered that the software (EyeTribeUI) must be started with elevated privileges.
This is done by right clicking on the file and selecting "Run as administrator".
We're working on a solution that doesn't require this on Win 8.1.
Update:
This problem occurs when the EyeTribe UI is started without the server running. The application sees this and attempts to start the server automatically. When running the software as non-admin this is not allowed by the OS whereby it stops.
To avoid this issue please start the EyeTribe Server before launching EyeTribe UI.
The next release will automatically detect current user privileges and produces appropriate message.

Hi,
I have a problem with the server software and I thought that was a great idea to use this thread. I downloaded the new version of sdk (v. 0.9.28, it's the available last version), and I installed it in my Windows 8.1 computer. But, the server doesnt't work. Also, I have tried with administrator permisions.
This is the log:

Thanks for posting the logs. Trying to figure out if these are caused by a single error. The PC platform can be a bit tricky with multiple OS and many OEM manufacturers.
David, we're going to do more debugging on Windows 8.1. Latest release seem to still have some issues with this specific OS version.
Mycs, if you open the Device Manager, under the Imaging Devices, do you see one name "TheEyeTribe"?
Alperstein, did the previous version (0.9.27) work ok without this error?
