We just got our second The Eye Tribe on 08-04-14. And went to update the SDK - since new Eye Tribe didn't want to work with older SDK. On trying to install on Windows 7 "TheEyeTribeSDK-0.9.40-x86.exe" get warning from Trend Micro that it contains TROJ_FAKEAV.BMC. And the driver won't install and is in fact delete by Trend Micro.
The new Eye Tribe has firmware version 293. Is there a SDK version which will install and run this firmware.
And we really don't like software that sets off our malicious code blocker!!!!

I'm also having this issue with Symantec Endpoint. It really doesn't like whatever the executable has going on.
Edit: I'm attempting my first install of the SDK, not upgrading.

The installer will be signed from the next release, which should help with the false positives from some antivirus software.

Looking over the forum list ie topic TROJ_FAKEAV.BMC The Eye Tribe has had this problem since about version 0.9.30. Adding signing is not going to help you - your software is trying to do something malicious.
We are not going to wait and hope the next version works - since you had this problem for quit a while.

As described in the
thread you mention, it is a false positive from TrendMicro. Both TrendMicro and ourselves confirmed that it is not detected as malware with their latest detection engine.
Please try to update their engine to the latest version and let us know if the installer is detected again.

The new version,
0.9.41, does not cause false alarms with TrendMicro or any of the 40 scan engines used to verify.
