[Resolved] No send feedback – “Server stopped”...

Couldn’t send feedback – “The Eye Tribe Tracker Server stopped working”, and then “Server is not running”

I was trying to send some feedback data, and I got “The Eye Tribe Tracker Server stopped working”.

Ouch, that should NOT happen. I've created a bug report for this issue.

Could you please copy&past the content of the log located in
C:\Users\YOURUSERNAME\AppData\Local\EyeTribe\Logs

There are a few more logs from earlier dates, but this is the latest one.

I’ve noticed that the last couple of logs end with “Deinitializing network”, while earlier ones end with “Creating new connection”.
I think that it’s because I tried sending feedback in the last few times that I started the Eye Tribe server, while in the attempts before those, I was just testing the mouse cursor, and then shutting down the server with no issues.

(I doubt this is related, but I’ve had a couple USB problems in the past.)

Attempt at sending feedback with 9.41

I don’t know if there was time to check out the “server-fails-when-trying-to-send-feedback” issue, but if it was meant to be fixed (probably not, because I don’t see it in the change log), it’s still hanging around.

However, I think that there’s a change in how the server responds.
Instead of hanging, the eye tracker light turns off, and it says “device not connected”.
After a few seconds, the light comes back, the pupils are detected again, and the animated eyes appear in the Eye Tribe UI.

The log is different.
After “The device stream has stopped”, it says “Resetting the device!”, and the log ends with “The device stream has resumed”.
In the first log, “Tracker stopped” comes after “the device stream has stopped”, and the log ends with “Deinitializing network”.

(I hope that this is the right log that corresponds to that crash):

Edit: I tried sending feedback again, and instead of “device are connected”, it says “connection to eye tribe server lost”.
But similarly, the lights come back, and the pupils are recognized.
