The Eye Tribe

I am getting the following errors related to the firmware. They began occurring after upgrading to Windows 10 and downloading the latest SDK.

The following error appears much more often, usually after it has been running fine for a while. While this error shows up in the server, it says "A firmware update is required" on the GUI.

What I've tried:
I've tried reinstalling the SDK multiple times; I have gone through several reboots. I have made sure that each device driver is up to date, specifically the USB ones. It is plugged in through USB 3.0. I have unplugged and plugged back in which temporarily (sometimes up to 3 minutes) solves the problem but sometimes requires multiple attempts.

I'm running:
CPU: i7 3770K @ 3.5GHz (3.7GHz Turbo Boost)
Mobo: Biostar TZ77B
OS: Windows 10 Pro 64bit

Windows 10 still early. Could be that the USB3.0 drivers are not fully robust yet. I'm puzzled to why the device firmware version reads as "25443" (no such thing). I've only tested on one Windows 10 system so far (X99) and it worked without hiccups.

I've sent you a PM with our firmware updater tool which has helped some with random disconnect issues.

The first time I ran the Firmware Tool, I got a "failed" message, followed by this message:

I followed the instructions as also detailed in the readme and chose the Win8 file (since there was no 10). I figured this was my best option, since I upgraded from win7 and may have still had that driver, and I had never attempted with the win8 driver. I then installed the 203-2 firmware, which didn't work. I followed up with the 293, then the 203. The 203 worked the longest (about 3 minutes) before failing with the following error message. They all eventually ended up failing with that same error message (with the correct firmware number showing). I also received this error message constantly after making my first post.

I attempted to follow up using the win7, vista, or xp version of the driver, but after uninstalling the driver and rebooting, the same driver reinstalled itself every time I plugged in the EyeTribe. I also tried to manually "update" (roll back) the driver, but it said that the best driver is already installed (the actually "roll back" button is grayed out).

I have not received the first error message in the OP since beginning this firmware process.

Has anyone found a solution to this problem? I've been waiting over 2 months to use my device.
I've attempted all of the above solutions again, with a successful firmware update, but I'm still getting the error "A firmware update is required."

Edit: The device runs perfectly fine on my Win10 laptop (thinkpad e450). My temporary solution is to remotely connect to the laptop.
