Experience with Surface Pro 3?

Hi all,

Does anyone already have experience using the EyeTribe with the new Microsoft Surface Pro 3? We are considering buying a Surface Tablet, but so far I have only read of people using EyeTribe with Surface Pro 1 and 2.

Directed at EyeTribe: Will the mount (that I am still waiting for; EyeTribe was delivered in August) fit also to the new Surface Pro? (I assume it was designed for the previous version?).

Thanks in advance,

Christian

Christian,
Current tablet mount primarily designed for Surface 1 & 2. The new 3 just arrived so we just finished the design for it. It might take a while before it ships, probably late fall but I have to double check that.

I'm sorry you haven't received your initial order, send a message to support@theeyetribe.com and Rasmus will check shipping database and make sure you get the 1&2 model, or the new 3 once it's out, if you prefer that is.

For everyone else,
We would like to know how many existing customers want the new Surface 3 mount. Please one up.
+1.

If you need an alternate mounting mechanism, please voice your need. If you need something else please open new thread for same procedure, or PM me for larger batches.

The current mount is not engineered for the surface 3 tablet. The mount screw is too short and won't hold the tracker in place on the surface 3.

Hi Ryklin,

Thanks for posting, I was afraid that this would be the issue. We could release a version with a shorter screw and less of a gap.

In general, I was hoping that you could share a little feedback on your experience with the mount. Is it working well for you? Any suggestions appreciated.

The surface 3 is the only 512GB i7 multi-touch tablet/laptop on the market at this time, which I believe makes it the most advanced machine of its type.

My opinion is that while this might be a good choice for some power users, particularly gamers, nonetheless as developers we should strive to create apps that will run on lower hardware requirements. The price range of the surface 3 is $799-1,999 USD.

Yes, in any case, the eyetribe should offer a new mount.
