[Resolved] EyeTribe eye tracker suddenly stopped working

Hi EyeTribe people,
I am a student at Aalborg University in Copenhagen, and my group have been succesfully using the EyeTribe eye tracker device in conjunction with academic games research. However, we experienced a sudden technical failure.
We had just concluded testing with more than 27 test participants, and before we could test on the 28th, the eye tracker suddenly switched off its red lights and stopped working. I tried restarting the laptop, reinstalling the SDK and driver and waiting for the device to cool off. The eye tracker still does not work. Even when connected (through USB 3.0) the UI program just says "Waiting for device to be connected".
The device has been tested on 2 different laptops without success.
Both laptops run Windows 8.1, but as mentioned, the device worked fine for several hours, before suddenly it stopped working.
What should I do?
