You are right. Thanks for point this out to me.
The GUI has not received as much attention as it deserves. It is the main entry point for all users of the product.

I'm glad to inform you that I've personally been working the GUI over the last couple of days. I'll make sure we get some non-developer feedback and I'd be happy to incorporate more suggestions.

Changes for UI, next release:
- The calibration button will be disabled when there's no tracking.
- An indication of calibrated vs non calibrated status
- Disabling calibration area alignment when area set to max resolution
- Respecting to non-native display resolutions and DPI settings.
- Displaying server status and API connectivity
- Additional bug fixes

Also, planning a short how-to video and additional documentation.

I'll forward your kind words regarding the hardware design and packaging to the team.
Software will catch up soon. That's a promise.
