[Resolved] Tracker is not connected or Detected Properly

Postby Emrah » 10 Jan 2014, 16:58

I am very happy because I just get my Eye Tribe tracker :)

I have plugged in to my Mac Book Pro Retina (USB 3.0) with Windows 8.1.

But I got "Tracker is not connected or Detected Properly" message.

I change tried to use my both USB 3.0 connections. Also I restart my computer but the result is same.

These are my screen shots.

Try to update your USB 3.0 drivers. I updated mine and the tracker was then recognized. This is the first time the USB 3.0 interface on my PC is being used, and I had never exercised the old drivers before.

I spent about an hour making it work on a MacBook Pro some weeks ago. The problem was the USB 3.0 drivers. I downloaded and installed the bootcamp driver package, rebooted, re-plugged the device etc. but it wouldn't work. :x

The solution was to go into the device manager and manually uninstall the existing drivers, reboot and install the BootCamp driver package again. Then it worked flawlessly :) . I believe Windows have automatically installed some drivers that wouldn't be replaced by the BootCamp installer.

Working USB3.0 drivers is very important and it can be hard to diagnose since it's sort-of working with some devices. Always use the latest by the manufacturer.
