Server crashes upon startup

Right after I launch the server, I get the message:

The EYE TRIBE TRACKER Server has stopped working


and the only option I have is to close the program. I do get to see the command window box i n which the last line says:

It seems as if it crashes on the Direct Show device. I have an Intel HD Graphics 4000 as GPU.
I'm running it on Win7 x64 and the version is 0.9.36. I have tried to run the server as administrator, but to no avail. What can I do to try to fix this?

Hi Daniel,

We will look into this, the server should never crash.

What brad/model of computer are you using?

Eye Tribe Server crashes for me as well on start up, same as Daniel described.

I am also running Win7 x64 with an Intel HD Graphics 4000.

Could you please copy&paste the contents of the log file located in:
C:\Users\USERNAME\AppData\Local\EyeTribe\Logs\
It will help us to fix the issue.

I am facing the same issue. I have checked on two win 7 systems but results is same, server stopped immediately on start. Please suggest ASAP. Below is the log details.

Update: We believe we have located the bug with version 0.9.36. The server might crash if the device is connected to a USB2.0 port. A new software update will be released soon.

Uninstalled, restarted, verified in USB 3 port, installed again, and got a similar crash, but this time with two more lines in the log file:

Hi Martin,

That seems to have solved the problem.

When I initially tried the new version, it didn't recognise my USB 3 port as a USB 3 port ("ERR: The Eye Tribe Tracker must be connected to a USB 3 host!"). I uninstalled and reinstalled my USB 3 host drivers, and the server works just fine now.
