Object reference not set to an instance of an object

Postby god.system13 » 19 Mar 2015, 16:25

Hi. I have an error when trying to start the EyeTribeUI. After this error I get the "Send error to Microsoft". I am using Windows 8.1 on an Intel D54250WYC NUC. Am I missing something? Have a nice day.

I've created a bug-report for this error and will let you know when it has been fixed.

Just to be sure, is the Eyetribe.exe server up and running?

The server is up and running...I have this problem on windows 8.1. I also tried on windows 7 and worked without a problem. :)

I experience the same problem. Symptoms:

- The server is running fine, and I can calibrate and do an eye-tracking experiment with the PyGaze plug-ins for OpenSesame (http://osdoc.cogsci.nl/devices/pygaze/)
- If I start the EyeTribe UI I get the error message reported here. This also makes the server, which was running fine, report that the EyeTribe was disconnected.

My system is a bit unusual: Windows 7 running in a VirtualBox, as described here: http://forum.cogsci.nl/index.php?p=/discussion/1590/using-the-eyetribe-on-linux-ubuntu-through-virtualbox#Item_1 I'm using The SDK 0.9.56, firmware rev. 293.

I've made some changes to the initialization of the objects to avoid the error when no valid screen object has been provided (could be the case with VMs?). This fix will be included in the upcoming release which we aim to ship before end of August.

Update: Release date pushed forward due to migration of build servers and tool. Sorry.
