Although a crash could be for a number of reasons, I was having this issue as well. It seems to occur when I am displaying to a single screen of a dual-screen setup. When I revert back to the two screen ('extended') display mode, the software works correctly again. This may been because I originally installed the software when the two-screen 'extended' setup was enabledl it may have something to do with the display EDIDs that are saved in the XML config file?
It's likely that it's the EDID parsing and/or related multi-screen setup that's causing the UI to crash on startup. The routine has been rewritten during this week and we will test and verify the solution in the next couple of days. A release is coming asap, I'd be most thankful if you were willing to test it on your systems to verify.
I'm getting the exact same thing as described by ahmadjbara. The server works OK and writes "the eye tracker stands ready". When starting the UI it crashes immediately. I am running Win7-64 SP-1 with two monitors each at 2048 x 1152 resolution, set to Extended display mode. I am running as admin and am using .NET Framework 4.5.1
