Indicator light

Postby macmath22 » 25 Feb 2014, 01:43

Here's one more question !

Isn't there any indicator light in the hardware?

When I plugged in, no messages (like light or sound) from eye tribe

Is it by design? or malfunctioned hardware?

Hi macmath,

When the software is running you ought to see two dark red illuminators on each side of the device. Each illuminator contains six LEDs. These toggle on when a client application is connected.

Typically when you plug it in you will see a message from Windows saying that it found a new device. Once initialized it will show up in the Device Manager under Imaging Devices as "TheEyeTribe".

Yes I saw TheEyeTribe under Imaging devices in Device Manager but no indicator at all.
I think there might be a error in my eye tribe hardware

If it shows up as a Video Device in the Device Manager the hardware is likely working correctly. I believe this is a software issue as you mention in the other post, EyeTribe UI not showing up.
